The South Dakota Board of Regents may not receive all the funds it requested from the state.
It was one of the topics at the board’s latest meeting.
Pam Roberts is on the Board of Regents. She said it’s an issue with state revenue.
“The next fiscal year that will be looked over by the governor and submitted to the Legislature, and I just wanted to pass on that our budget director, Jim Terwilliger, did share with us - that sales tax and excise tax revenues were down. And just kind of a word of caution that the economic outlook and the look for additional funds for the Board of Regents is not great at this point,” Roberts said.
In light of Roberts’ information, board members said they intend to keep this in mind moving forward with plans.
