Four finalists have been named in the presidential search at the South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City.
This comes following the retirement of Jim Rankin. The Mines alumnus had led the university for the last six years.
The finalists are Angela Lueking, current vice chancellor for research and dean of the Montana Technical University; Todd Kenner, CEO of RE/SPEC Inc.; Mohamed Qatu, dean of engineering and technology at Eastern Michigan University; and Brian Tande, dean of engineering and mines at the University of North Dakota.
Finalists will be interviewed Nov. 14 and a decision is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
