Over $600,000 is being designated for schools across the state to support career and technical education, or CTE, programs.
CTE is a resource to help students learn specific job skills.
Beresford is receiving $50,000 for new computer routers for ag, food, and natural resource classes. In Brandon Valley, $13,000 is being invested for new plant growth systems.
At the West Central School District in Hartford, new heavy machinery simulators for ag and construction classes were purchased for about $50,000.
Finaly in Yankton, new laser cutting machinery was purchased at a price tag of $45,000.
Two additional workforce education grants were also issued to the Burke and Harrisburg school districts to establish new CTE programs. Those came at about $220,000.
