Questions and confusion linger surrounding damage reporting, FEMA assistance and the general status of flooded areas.
County emergency management teams across South Dakota are helping residents navigate those questions.
Jason Westcott is the Union County emergency management director. He joins "In the Moment" to offer guidance and clarification for flood assistance.
Westcott says the first step is to report damage on South Dakota Self Report. Westcott says the deadline for reporting flood damage from the June event is July 12.
