Black Hills National Forest officials proposes treating nearly 3,000 acres in the Ridgeback Vegetation Management project area about three miles east of Keystone.
Proposed activities include prescribed fires and other vegetation treatments designed to improve forest health, increase tree stand resiliency, and promote a healthier, more fire-resistant, ecosystem.
Forest officials said electronic comments are best, but they'll accept mail-in comments through the U.S. Postal Service. They said comments received by Nov. 22 are preferred and most helpful.
