Nearly $19 million in low-interest rate loans for water projects have been approved by the state Department of Ag and Natural Resources.

DANR reports these projects for drinking and wastewater projects will come with over a half-million dollars in principal forgiveness.

The largest of the three projects is a $16.8 million project in Davison County to dredge Lake Mitchell.

In Wagner, $425,000 has been allocated for local sewer work along Highway 46.

In Wolsey, about a quarter-million dollars has been allocated to replace another sewer line that is no longer functional, as well as installation of new manhole covers and inlets.

The thirty-year Wolsey and Wagner loans are financed at 3.25 and 3.75 percent respectively. In Mitchell, the 20-year loan is financed at 3.5 percent for 20 years.
