Dr. Helene Van Doninck is speaking at the South Dakota Wildlife Federation's annual meeting in Rapid City this Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm Mountain. Her program addresses the scientific rationale for changing the use of lead ammunition as a way to protect wildlife populations. Van Doninck is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Central Nova Animal Hospital in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is also co-founder and now runs Cobequid Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, where they rehabilitate anything from field mice to birds of prey.
