An anonymous donor is giving Avera $11 million as a gift for capital improvements. The funds are for building updates and other improvements across South Dakota and Minnesota.
Avera’s Chief Executive Officer Bob Sutton says the gift allows essential projects to move forward. This includes updates to the Avera McKennan hospital campus in Sioux Falls and the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall, Minnesota.
More than 17,000 people and organizations provide gifts each year to support the people served throughout the Avera health system.
