Shantel Krebs is the new Regional President and CEO of Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.
Krebs has been interim CEO since March, after the passing of Dr. Mikel Holland.
"We will carry on the great work that this region is known for and keep inpatient and outpatient quality at the forefront of everything we do," said Krebs.
Prior to working at Avera, Krebs served in the state legislature and was Secretary of State from 2015 through 2019.
