The 2024 SDHSAA state boys basketball tournaments came to an end on Saturday with three incredible championship games. Two went to overtime, while the other was decided by just one-point.

For the first time in 41-years, the Hamlin Chargers have won a boys state basketball tournament. They defeated top ranked Sioux Falls Christian 53-50 in overtime on Saturday night at the Summit Arena in Rapid City.

It was an instant classic from Aberdeen on Saturday. Howard defeated the three-time defending state champion De Smet Bulldogs 60-55 in overtime to win their first state boys basketball championship in 60-years.

State boys basketball action continued on Friday with the semifinal and consolation semifinal rounds. Here's a recap from Friday and the schedule for Saturday.
