Alexa Ham loves basketball. But, she also loves to draw. For this Rapid City Christian senior, she's found a way to balance both of these passions.

For the 53rd straight time, Dakota Valley is celebrating a win. Saturday's win was extra special at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, because they also claimed their second straight state championship, a 54-48 win over Sioux Falls Christian in the title game.

The last time a Class B school won three straight boys state basketball titles, it was Webster in 1946-1948, and that was under the umbrella of the two-class system. Fast-forward to today and De Smet can celebrate the same feat as the Bulldogs defeated Lower Brule 62-48 for the title.

The 2023 state high school basketball tournaments concluded on Saturday from Rapid City, Sioux Falls, and Aberdeen. Here are the final results from the event.

Angela Keszler split her time between the Class B tournament watching her son Jamison play for Castlewood and her other son Brennan play at the Class A tournament for Hamlin.

She won three straight state basketball titles with Yankton, went on to become a dominant player in college and then played professionally in Europe. Lisa Van Goor joins Craig Mattick on this edition of In Play.
