SDPB & SDHSAA State Football Championship Coverage

The South Dakota Football Coaches Association has chosen their All-State high school football teams for the seven classes of the South Dakota High School Activities Association and All Nations Football Conference.

It was a rematch for the championship in Class 11AAA this season. However, this time it was a different team hoisting the top hardware. Brandon Valley defeated Sioux Falls Lincoln 34-27 on Saturday night in Vermillion at the Dakota Dome to win the title.

It was a rematch from a year ago, but with a different result. Sioux Falls Christian held on late to defeat Lennox 28-24 in the 2025 11A game.

For the eighth time in the past nine years, Pierre TF Riggs has won the state 11AA football championship. The Governors defeated Yankton 56-35 on Friday night at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion to win the crown.

After finishing runner-up six times as a football program at state, the St. Thomas More football program can finally celebrate a state championship. The Cavaliers defeated Elk Point-Jefferson 48-38 in a fun back and forth battle on Friday afternoon at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion.

He was once the all-time winningest boy's basketball coach in South Dakota. He spent 34 years coaching at Parker High School. Gayle Hoover joins Craig Mattick on this edition of In Play.
