Track & Field - SDPB State Championship Coverage

The 2024 SDHSAA state track and field meet wrapped up from Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls on Saturday with Burke, Sioux Falls Christian, and Brandon Valley winning team girls titles, while Gregory, Sioux Falls Christian, and Sioux Falls Lincoln winning championships for boys.

Berkeley Engelland, a Mt. Vernon/Plankinton senior, wrapped up her South Dakota prep career with two state titles in the 800m run and the 400m dash.

Day two of the SDHSAA state track and field took place Friday in Sioux Falls with sixteen field and twelve track finals.

Craig Mattick’s guest is a former Roosevelt Rough Rider who won state titles in basketball and volleyball, was South Dakota’s Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year, and became one of the first from the state to play Big Ten volleyball.
