Pierre girls wrestling claimed back-to-back state titles in Rapid City on Saturday night. The Governors beat out Canton for the top spot, totaling 167 team points to Canton’s 134.5 points.

The team dual portion of the 2023 state wrestling championships took place on Saturday, day three of the event, from The Summit Arena at The Monument in Rapid City. Pierre won the 'A' title in a tiebreaker over Brandon Valley, while Canton took home the 'B' state championship with a win over Bon Homme/Avon.
