New KIDS COUNT Report

The Annie E. Casey Foundation released a KIDS COUNT policy report today highlighting the need to ensure that kids, particularly those in the welfare system, have a loving, nurturing family to help them navigate through life.  The report expands on ideas raised in a 2012 policy report on the importance of supporting kinship families: Stepping Up For Kids.  Rob Geen discussed the new report on Dakota Midday.  Geen is responsible for designing and implementing advocacy strategy related to child welfare, juvenile justice and evidence-based practice as the Director of Policy Reform and Advocacy for the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
