Headlines and Bulletins The white settlement of the Dakotas brought with it an invention from the fifteenth century, the printing press.

Newspapers played a vital role in the region, keeping people informed and allowing them to print land notices. Later on, the inventions of radio and television augmented newspapers. No matter the medium, headlines and bulletins are an important record of the history of our state.
