The HillBenders are featured with the second part of their concert at the Matthews Opera House in Spearfish. They perform some originals and a few of their favorite covers. The HillBenders claimed the prize at the 2009 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition. The band has gained critical acclaim for their "Tommy: A Bluegrass Opry" recordings and performances.
The second half of this episode brings a set from Dusty Heart from the 37th Annual Sioux River Folk Festival. Dusty Heart (Barbara Jean and Molly Dean) highlights their beautiful vocal harmonies which they accompany with lush sounds of guitar, fiddle and banjo. The duo is from Minneapolis.
