Buddy Red Bow
Buddy Red Bow

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

Buddy Red Bow was a musician and actor from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

He was inducted into the Native American Music Hall of Fame in 1998, just five years after his death in 1993.

Stardust Red Bow, Buddy's daughter, joins In the Moment along with Jerry Allen and Scottie Clifford. They share their thoughts and memories of the musician during a conversation on with Lori Walsh.

Red Bow would have turned 75 on June 24. They will honor him with a tribute concert on Saturday 5 p.m. in Piedmont. All proceeds will benefit Save Them All Rescue Services, a no-kill animal rescue that serves parts of South Dakota including Pine Ridge.

Lori Walsh is the host and senior producer of In the Moment.
Ari Jungemann is a producer of In the Moment, SDPB's daily news and culture broadcast.
