Recently the South Dakota 8th Circuit Court of Appeals issued opinions on two "Ag-Gag" laws. Victoria Wicks reports on these opinions for SDPB.

Lt. Col. Ben Jones (USAF, retired) joins us to talk about his time in Afghanistan. Jones served in Afghanistan twice, first as an advisor at the National Military Academy of Afghanistan in 2009, and later as a member of the Strategic Transition and Assessment Group from 2011 to 2012. Jones holds a Ph.D. in history and currently serves as South Dakota's state historian.

What is a carbon bank and how would South Dakota producers use it to expand the use of climate-friendly farming practices? Andrew Walmsley, congressional director for the American Farm Bureau Federation, will discuss climate-smart agriculture this week at Dakotafest in Mitchell.

Reservation Dogs is a comedy series about four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma. The program airs Mondays as an FX on Hulu exclusive. It features compositions from South Dakota musician Mato. Mato was recently one of SDPB's Tiny Desk favorites.
