Homeless In South Dakota

A recent count by the South Dakota Housing for the Homeless Coalition found 1166 homeless individuals, including 336 children.  The numbers show a 25% decline from 2011.  Lisa Bondy of the SDHHC said that the organization relies on community volunteers, law enforcement, faith-based organizations and other agencies to help conduct the count in their areas.
