The Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. is announcing a new partnership with the South Dakota State Historical Society.
The museum’s outreach program called “Smithsonian Affiliations” partners with facilities around the country to enhance the preservation and appreciation of history.
Museum collections in South Dakota including the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre stand to benefit from the new partnership.
On today’s Dakota Digest SDPB’s Charles Michael Ray reports that the partnership may mean even more for other parts of the state--including schools.
