On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court hears a case that could change the way prayers are handled at government meetings. The Supreme Court is hearing an appeal of a lower court decision in Greece v. Galloway over whether the town of Greece can open its board meetings with a prayer. Susan Galloway and Linda Stephens argued that the practice is a violation of their constitutional rights because it’s coercing a religious observance. The case could lead to a significant shift in law separating church and state.
