Ruth Ziolkowski's Legacy Celebrated

Ruth Ziolkowski died on Wednesday at the age of 87.

Ziolkowski spent most of her life at Crazy Horse and lead the carving project for more than 30 years after her husband’s death.
 
SDPB’s Charles Michael Ray spoke with many of those who knew and admired her – he has this story.

Public Viewing is from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 26, at Crazy Horse Memorial.   A celebration of Ruth’s life and legacy is planned for at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Crazy Horse Memorial.  Private interment is at the Crazy Horse Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Ruth’s memory for the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation.  Friends may sign the online guestbook and offer condolences at www.osheimschmidt. com.
