As motorists hit the road for Thanksgiving, they’re spending less on gas than they did a year ago. According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in South Dakota a year ago was $3.15. This morning the state average was $2.77 with some stations in Sioux Falls selling gas for as low as $2.34. The national average of $2.80 is the lowest since December of 2010. GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan joined Dakota Midday and discussed the continuing decline of gas prices.
