Rapid City residents may have a chance to vote on a proposed plan to expand the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The City Council approved the $180-million expansion project this week.
But now a number of residents on both sides of the issue want to bring the expansion proposal to a public vote.
SDPB’s Charles Michael Ray reports that those gathering petitions have 20 days to bring in over 2,000 signatures to bring a special eleciton.
