President Barrack Obama makes his first visit to South Dakota while in office tomorrow. This is the only state he’s not yet visited during his two terms as president. President Obama flies into Watertown tomorrow afternoon and speaks during commencement ceremonies for Lake Area Technical Institute.
To prepare for the president’s visit, workers with the State Department of Transportation helped stripe the streets and volunteers picked up garbage along the roads. Veterans groups have hung hundreds of flags around town. Watertown Mayor Steve Thorson joined Dakota Midday and discussed President Obama's visit and what it means to the community.
