Doug Bamforth is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Colorado Boulder. He will present a lecture at Augustana University on March 3rd at 7 p.m. in the 3-in-1 room, Morrison Commons.
The shift from a world filled entirely with hunters and gatherers to a world filled almost entirely with farmers is considered the single most important change in human history. Bamforth talks with Dakota Midday host Lori Walsh about the King site on the Pine Ridge in northwestern Nebraska, who lived there, and what they left behind tells us about shifts in human behavior on the Great Plains.
