Scholar Donovin Sprague joins Dakota Midday to discuss the life and legacy of Black Elk. From his spiritual guidance, his insight into the times in which he lived, and his vision and message for generations to come, Black Elk continues to guide and inspire.
Donovin Sprague is the author of 10 books. He is an archivist with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and an adjunct instructor in American Indian Studies at Black Hills State University. he contracts with the Smithsonian Institution as a writer and historian. He is a family descendent of both Crazy Horse and Chief Hump. His upcoming book is called "Hump and Crazy Horse."
