Dr. Tim Schorn is a professor at the University of South Dakota. He specializes in Middle Eastern politics, international human rights, and international law. Today is day 18 of the Trump administration. On Friday a federal judge temporarily blocked the president's executive order that suspended entry of all refugees into the U.S. for 120 days. The same executive order froze entry from Syrian refugees indefinitely and blocked entry for three months to residents from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen. The battle continues to play out in the courts.
