Award-winning scientist and scholar Professor William Bialek visits students at the University of South Dakota tonight. He also gives a free public lecture at 4 p.m. in the Akeley-Lawrence Science Center. Bialek is the John Archibald Wheller/Battelle Professor in Physics at Princeton University. We talk about what we know about how the brain works, the value of cross-discipline learning, and what the world needs from its young scholars in order to push science and thinking to the next level. Professor Bialek was brought to the University of South Dakota by the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program.
