In The Moment ... May 23, 2017 Show 099 Hour 2

The South Dakota Department of Legislative Audit released the special review of the Mid Central Educational Cooperative on Friday. The co-op was responsible for doling out GEAR UP, a federally funded program meant to help low-income students prepare for college. A more than four million dollar contract with Mid-Central was canceled after an initial audit into the co-op found problems with how they documented expenses. Not long after, According to the Attorney General's office, the home of Scott and Nicole Westerhuis was set on fire after Scott murdered their four children and Nicole before taking his own life. SDPB’s Lee Strubinger joins us to unpack the recently released audit.

Good adventure movies have danger, sports and really bad weather. "Under an Arctic Sky" follows a group of surfers in Iceland as they face the biggest storm the country has seen in 25 years. It was a selection for the Tribeca Film Festival and is showing in Rapid City this week. SDPB's Chynna Lockett has more.
