Changes continue to roll out for high school athletes in South Dakota and the fans who cheer for them. SDPB's Nate Wek is with us in the studios in Vermillion as we talk about the pending Sweet 16 format for SDHSAA basketball and volleyball.
Bill Lofgren grew up in Minneapolis and enlisted in the army in 1944. Lofgren received his military training in several locations, including Camp Roberts, north of Los Angeles. On a brief leave from camp, he and several army buddies traveled to Los Angeles for a night on the town. They were rewarded with a chance encounter with Frank Sinatra. We hear clips from an interview with Lofgren for a special summer Images of the Past feature.
