In The Moment ... October 17, 2017 Show 200 Hour 1
From HIV, to Ebola, to ZIKA, every epidemic has a story. Dr. Seema Yasmin has unraveled the narratives of epidemics in order to help you push away panic, keep yourself healthy, and (hopefully) learn from the tragedies of history. Yasmin, is an Emmy award-winner and a JSK Knight Fellow in Journalism at Stanford University where she researches the way news spreads during epidemics. She's speaking at SDSU in Brookings this week through the South Dakota World Affairs Council. Her talk is called Communicating About Diseases in the Age of Epidemics.
