Dr. Frank Candelaria is historian of Western European and American Art Musics at the University of Texas at El Paso. His research focuses on Catholic music cultures in Spain, Mexico, and the American Southwest. His current book under contract is about music in early Mexican Catholicism.
Dr. Candelaria presents for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra in Sioux Falls for their program on Aaron Copland in Mexico and at the University of South Dakota on the Aztec Renaissance.
