A new FRONTLINE film looks at the attempted crackdown on MS-13 in Long Island, New York. The documentary explores how the gangs took root in America, the brutal deaths of two girls that signaled an elevation of savagery, and the ensuing crackdown that seemed to target teenagers for acts as simple as writing the area code of their home country in their notebooks.
FRONTLINE'S "The Gang Crackdown" airs February 14 on SDPB-TV at 9 p.m. Central, 8 Mountain on SDPB-TV.
