SDPB to participate in Festival of Books in Deadwood 9/22-9/23
Join SDPB at The Lodge at Deadwood for the Festival of Books September 22 and 23. Guests will be able to stop by the booth to play trivia and win prizes, watch In The Moment live as host, Lori Walsh, interviews participating authors, and screen a multitude of new specials. SDPB will offer a sneak preview of Ken Burn’s The American Buffalo, along with SDPB’s newest companion documentary Tatanka: A Way of Life. Additionally, South Dakota Public Broadcasting will screen a documentary about South Dakota’s first poet Laurette, Badger Clark; Badger Clark: Poet Among the Pines. The schedule is as follows:
- ITMO Live (11am, 9/22)
- Screening – American Buffalo/Tatanka (2:00pm 9/22)
- Lori Walsh & author Kate DiCamillo discuss fairytales & Kate’s new book The Puppets of Spellhorst (9am, 9/23)
- Screening – Badger Clark: Poet Among the Pines (3:15pm 9/23)
