Department of Public Safety officials say they’ve created a video tutorial aiming to help drivers learn how to renew their licenses online.
To be eligible for online renewal, the applicant's license must be current and they must not have used the online or mail-in method in their last renewal.
To renew online, create an account at SD.gov. While renewing, applicants may be asked to upload documents. Drivers can do that by scanning them in or by taking a photo.
