History 605 S4 Ep 17: Preservation with Tom Hurlburt

What does architecture tell us about our local history? And how do we help our buildings continue to bring the past to us? Joining us in this episode is Tom Hurlburt, President of the SD State Historical Society Trustees and Principal Architect of Co-op Architecture. His firm has designed buildings all over South Dakota, but the part of the story I was interested in is how we can work to preserve our history even when time, wear, and weather conspire to take them from us. Tom has some experience with this and shares how he's worked to preserve community history on the Trustees and with colleagues around the state.
