The U-S Department of Veterans Affairs is rolling out realignment plans. The plans could reduce or eliminate veteran health-care services in some South Dakota cities, while adding services in others.

The number of South Dakotans actively infected with COVID-19 has fallen to about 3,600. The latest report from the state Department of Health includes seven new deaths, bringing the state’s toll to 2,834.

Dialysis patients across the nation are feeling the effects of blood-cleaning solution shortages, including in South Dakota.
