A state House lawmaker says he’s disappointed an impeachment inquiry declined to hear a presentation from Highway Patrol troopers. The lawmakers are preparing to vote next week on the impeachment of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg, for his conduct related to a fatal crash in September 2020.
Republican state Representative Scott Odenbach is recusing himself from an upcoming impeachment vote. Odenbach is a lawyer from Spearfish. SDPB News reported Tuesday that he provided legal counsel to Ravnsborg after the attorney general’s involvement in a fatal crash.
