On today's update...

South Dakota voters will weigh in on legalizing and taxing marijuana… again. The South Dakota secretary of state has certified petition signatures for the November election.

A South Dakota man has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing a child and witness tampering. A federal judge this week sent 40-year-old Kimo John Little Bird to prison for life on his conviction of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

The statue stolen from Sioux Falls’ SculptureWalk was found Saturday and is in police custody as evidence. The Sioux Falls Police Department learned the sculpture was missing Friday night. Someone recovered it a half a block south of its original location.

High gas prices likely won’t stop Memorial Day travelers from hitting the road. AAA projects more than 100,000 South Dakotans will travel 50 miles or more. 90% are expected to drive. That's up 4% from last year despite record gas prices.

And more.
