A wildland fire burned 75 acres near Hot Springs and another fire is still burning on the grounds of Wind Cave National Park. It's reported cause was a lightning strike.

A farm bill will be hard to get passed and on the president's desk by the end of the year. That's according to Congressman Dusty Johnson.

Governor Kristi Noem has requested a presidential disaster declaration connected to late June flooding in southeast South Dakota. According to her office, assessments need to be made prior to making the request.

The Environmental Protection Agency is giving more details about the role of a $7 billion pot of money meant to spur solar development in tribal as well as low-income communities. Homes located in South Dakota and reservations could see millions of dollars worth of solar projects in the next five years.

Long-term care facilities statewide are granted million of dollars to advance technology available to residents. From health care to quality of life, this funding will touch every corner of the state.

Students at South Dakota trade schools can expect a hike in tuition. The move, considered by the state Board of Technical Education, would be the first raise in three years.
