Assuming Governor Larry Rhoden’s signature, support is coming for Ellsworth Air Force Base. However, that’s not without changes and questions.

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve arrested an Ellsworth airman in connection to the murder of a woman whose remains were found near Hill City.

Uncertainty remains as DOGE- or The Department of Government Efficiency- continues to make cuts. For some grant recipients, one minute they are told their grant is being suspended, and the next minute it is restored. A church in Sioux Falls just experienced this.

Following the approval of a bill that bans eminent domain for carbon pipeline projects in South Dakota, some rural groups are working to continue addressing property rights issues.

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments later this month that put federal funding for rural broadband service at risk. The organization that brought the case says they hope to end an FCC fee that flows into the Universal Service Fund.
