South Dakota's First Lady kicked off her new initiative on Monday, June 10, at the Sioux Falls Downtown Rotary meeting. Daugaard's FosterOne campaign aims to recruit more foster families across the state of South Dakota. The First Lady, along with the South Dakota Department of Social Services, encourages South Dakotans to commit to know more about becoming a foster family. "All children need meaningful connections to caring adults who can provide support in their lives," Daugaard says. The First Lady will be visiting communities across the state this summer and fall, asking South Dakotans to commit to know more about becoming foster families.
