Jon Hunter, publisher of the Madison Daily Leader, and Jonathan Ellis, reporter and columnist for the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, joined Dakota Midday for a discussion of the latest news in state politics.
With the 2015 session in its fifth week, they examined legislation that would have repealed South Dakota's death penalty and increased the number of signatures needed to bring initiatives and referendum to the ballot. They also talked about a proposal allowing people to carry a concealed weapon without a permit and another that would repeal the "Daschle law."
