In The Moment … October 20, 2020 Show 924 Hour 2
A large grassroots effort to collect enough signatures to get Constitutional Amendment A on the November ballot was successful. And now, individuals and groups like South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws are campaigning for "Yes" votes to make the possession and use of recreational marijuana legal in the state.
Supporters of Amendment A have been working side-by-side with those in favor of Initiated Measure 26 which would allow for medicinal marijuana if passed. Supporters of Amendment A include former South Dakota U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson and former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle.
Drey Samuelson is the campaign director for South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws and he joins us to discuss the Pro side of Amendment A.
