After South Dakota voters authorized medical marijuana last year, cities are adopting their own regulations.
The City of Sioux Falls says it will soon accept license applications to operate a medical cannabis dispensary or testing facility within city limits.
The City Licensing Office will accept applications Oct. 29 to Nov. 15.
After that, the city will conduct a lottery for the five available medical cannabis dispensary licenses. The lottery will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 17 in the Commission Room at City Hall.
There is no lottery on medical cannabis testing facilities, because they are not limited by city ordinance.
