An aide to former President Donald Trump is volunteering for Gov. Kristi Noem once again.
Noem distanced herself from Corey Lewandowski last year.
Lewandowski was accused of unwanted sexual advances toward a Trump donor at a charity dinner.
Noem also attended the dinner.
Lewandowski has appeared on the campaign trail with Noem in recent months. That includes Noem’s book tour and a recent campaign announcement.
The governor’s campaign communications director is Ian Fury.
“I’m not going to speak for Corey, but he does volunteer on her behalf from time to time,” Fury said.
Lewandowski was charged with misdemeanor battery.
He is ordered to stay out of trouble for one year, serve 50 hours of community service and take impulse control counseling.
