Former President Donald Trump is set to appear at an event organized by the state Republican party in Rapid City in September.

The party event is called the Monumental Leaders Dinner.

The event was originally set for this Friday, but is rescheduled to accommodate the former president.

The dinner is meant to serve as a celebration of Republican leaders in the state.

The announcement comes a day after Trump says he’s the target of a second federal investigation for his role in the January 6th insurrection.

Trump is facing several counts for mishandling classified documents. He’s also facing charges in New York, while a Georgia grand jury is considering an election interference case.

Trump last visited the state in 2020 during Independence Day fireworks show at Mt. Rushmore.

Trump is running for reelection in 2024.
