No major changes were made between the first and second readings of the Rapid City Budget proposal – though a new item has been added to the package.
A $75,000 allocation to the rapid City Sports Commission was proposed by Alderman Greg Strommen.
Two-thirds of that total will come from the Mayor’s Office, which had $50,000 allocated for the purchase of a new vehicle. The remaining $25,000 will come from the Community Development budget for repairs demolition.
The revised budget will require one more reading before final approval.
